The Ministry of Information.

Othman worked in his Uncle's shop when he was 15 years old. The shop had broken and second hand items. From electrical, stereos, TVs, cameras, photography equipment and even guns! Othman took a keen interest in cameras including repairing them.

At first Othman wanted to work in TV, using TV cameras in studios.

At the age of 17 he got his first job at the Ministry of Information.

Othman was assigned at various conferences and meetings with conciliates and Sheikhs. He went to Lebanon during the civil war, which started in 1975. Othman travelled to Egypt and Saudi Arabia and attended meetings with Yassier Arafat.

In 1977 The Ministry of Information helped Othman obtain a scholorship to study and gain qualification in Photography.
